OIR’s Campus Role

The University of Tennessee is committed to equal opportunity in education and to fair and equitable employment practices for all employees and applicants for employment. To support this commitment, the Office of Investigation & Resolution (OIR) investigates or otherwise resolves complaints or reports alleging that a university employee violated campus policy by engaging in, for example, unfair employment practices, discriminatory or discriminatorily harassing conduct, inequitable treatment within a university program or activity, or retaliation. Please see the Covered Policies section of OIR’s website for a complete list of university policies that fall within OIR’s investigative authority.

OIR serves UTK (including the UT Institute of Agriculture and UT Space Institute) and the UT Institute for Public Service.
