Compliance Training


Employees are required to complete annual compliance training, and the training is designed to ensure that all employees understand the following when they carry out official duties:

  • the laws, regulations, and policies that govern employees
  • best practices
  • ethical standards
  • expectations for workplace conduct

The following topics are combined into one annual compliance training package:

  • Clery Act
  • Code of Conduct
  • Emergency Preparedness
  • FERPA
  • Security Awareness
  • Title VI
  • Title IX

Employees must complete the training package by the end of December each year (or upon hire for newly-hired employees).

Please note that training plans are customized for employees, meaning the university may assign additional topics based on an employee’s affiliation with the university and specific job requirements (e.g., HIPAA training for employees who manage protected health information).
