Commencement Ceremonies

Large screens, which can be viewed from most seats in the arena, will project the commencement ceremony and each graduate as they cross the stage. A sign language interpreter (using American Sign Language) will be projected onto additional large screens to the far left and right of the stage during commencement. Real-time captioning will be available on the large screen during each commencement ceremony as well as the webcast.

Please visit the “Accessibility” page on the university’s commencement website for more information.

The University streams each commencement ceremony, and the stream recordings include options for both closed captioning and automated live-language translations.

  • Click the relevant webcast link
  • Click the [cc] icon for closed captioning
  • Click the “Settings” gear icon next to the [cc] icon
  • Click “Subtitles/[cc]”
  • Click “Auto-translate” and choose the relevant language
